Research Interest: Physiology and genetics of freshwater bacteria; Nosocomial infections; bacterial pneumonia


Description of research activities: Currently, In my lab research problems related to freshwater bacteria concern multiple antibiotic resistance, heavy metal resistance is also investigated in populations exhibiting multiple and high level antibiotic resistance; Nosocomial infections related research in my lab concerns the genes encoding oxa-and metallo-beta-lactamases; Our bacterial pneumonia research problems concern molecular detection of pneumococci in clinical samples.
