Our department faculty member, Prof. Dr. Meryem Beklioğlu, has been named a "2025 ASLO Fellow" by the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO), one of the world's most prestigious organizations in aquatic sciences.
The ASLO Fellows program recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to aquatic sciences, international scientific literature, and the broader research community. Prof. Dr. Meryem Beklioğlu was awarded this prestigious honor for her pioneering work in shallow lake ecology, the impacts of climate change on freshwater ecosystems, and lake restoration.
