RESEARCH SUMMARY

Molecular Microbiology and Genetics: -Omic technologies and functional studies for Bacillus subtilis to analyze the role of dipeptide antibiotic bacilysin as a small global regulator in cellular physiology; Transcriptional regulation of cephamycin C biosynthetic gene cluster and pathway engineering to improve clavulanic acid and cephamycin C biosynthesis in Streptomyces clavuligerus; Proteomics and immunoproteomics of Bordetella pertussis and development of novel subunit vaccines; Development of OMV-based, re-designed and engineered vaccine platforms for pathogenic microbes.
