AREA OF RESEARCH

Research is focused on innate immune responses mediated by host pattern recognition receptors (PRRs). Active research topics include immunotherapeutic/vaccine adjuvant applications of PRR ligands, immunomodulatory applications of commensal bacteria-derived membrane vesicles, anti-Leishmanial immunity and leishmania-exosome based vaccination. We also conduct collaborative work with clinical immunologists to study the mechanisms contributing to disease pathogenesis in primary immunodeficiencies.
