Applications are invited for an open faculty position at the Biological Sciences Department of Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara.

The candidate is expected to have conducted research at the level of cells, tissues, and organisms using integrated approaches to understand the larger picture. We welcome applicants with a strong background in molecular genetics, molecular biology, and cell biology.

Successful candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. in the advertised position and related fields with appropriate postdoctoral experience, a good publication record, and be committed to graduate and undergraduate teaching. The successful applicant is expected to establish an independent research group and be responsible for procuring extramural funding. These include TUBITAK reintegration fellowships (2232), TUBITAK young investigator grants (3501), TUBITAK research grants (1001/1002), Marie Curie Reintegration Grants, EMBO Installation Grants, ERC Starting Grants, and other international relevant grants.
