METU Engineering Summer School Seminar: "Land Use, Freshwater Salinization, and Climate Change"
As part of the METU Engineering Summer School, a seminar and practical session titled "Ecology" was conducted by our department faculty member Prof. Dr. Meryem Beklioğlu and her team.
"Impacts of Land Use, Freshwater Salinization, and Climate Change on Lake Ecosystem Structure" In the seminar titled above, the balances established between living organisms and their environment were discussed. Practical applications were carried out with the participants within the framework of ongoing research at the METU Mesocosm experimental facility, which investigates the impacts of climate change, freshwater salinization, and land use on lake ecosystem structures.
